Willkie advised Insight Partners and its portfolio company Recorded Future, the world’s largest threat intelligence company, on the sale of Recorded Future to Mastercard for $2.65 billion.

On September 12, Mastercard announced that it has agreed to acquire Recorded Future from Insight Partners, expanding its cybersecurity services in the payments ecosystem and beyond. Recorded Future serves more than 1,900 clients across 75 countries, including the governments of 45 countries and over 50% of the Fortune 100.

Willkie previously represented Insight Partners in its acquisition of Recorded Future for $780 million in 2019.

Insight Partners is a global software investor partnering with high-growth technology, software, and Internet startup and ScaleUp companies. As of December 31, 2023, the firm has over $80 billion in regulatory assets under management.
