On June 20, 2025, the Firm won a preliminary injunction in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee in an employment dispute involving Frontdoor, Inc. and former employee Scott Kluver. Kluver, a senior field manager, resigned from Frontdoor to join First American Home Warranty Corporation (“First American”), a competitor, in direct violation of  his non-compete and confidentiality agreement. Frontdoor demonstrated that Kluver had access to its confidential business information and strategies, which could be used to gain an unfair competitive advantage.~~After an evidentiary hearing on June 16, the court found that Frontdoor demonstrated a likelihood of success on the merits and that Kluver’s employment with First American posed a significant risk of irreparable harm due to potential unfair competition. The decision bars Kluver from working at First American or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates until May 7, 2026.~~The Simpson Thacher team included Lynn Neuner, Amy Candido, Jonathan Sanders, Melissa Vallejo, Jared Quigley and Camille Boler.
