Bowline Energy LLC has announced the purchase of Nine Point Energy LLC's Williston Basin assets for US$250 million. The purchase was effectuated through a Chapter 11 Section 363 process and was approved by the Bankruptcy Court and closed on August 9, 2021. Latham & Watkins LLP represented Nine Point Energy in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Houston partners Stephen Szalkowski and Justin Stolte, with Houston associates Greg Sorensen, Michael Sellner, and Joseph Kmetz. The restructuring and special situations team was led by Chicago partner Caroline Reckler and Washington, D.C. partner Andrew Sorkin, with Chicago associate Jonathan Gordon and New York associate Nacif Taousse. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Houston partner Jim Cole, with Houston associate Emily Fawcett; on labor, benefits and compensation matters by Los Angeles partners Joe Farrell and Larry Seymour and Chicago counsel Sandhya Chandrasekhar; and on antitrust matters by Washington, D.C. counsel Sydney Smith.~~
