Willkie successfully secured antitrust clearance from the U.S. Department of Justice for LS Power Equity Advisors, LLC’s sale of 18 natural gas generation facilities and a commercial and industrial virtual power plant platform to NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE: NRG) in a $12 billion deal.

NRG Energy recently announced that it received antitrust clearance as well as all other regulatory approvals for its acquisition of the LS Power portfolio, clearing the way to close the previously announced deal.
