Chesswood Group Limited (TSX: CHW), a specialty finance company with 40 years of experience in the commercial equipment finance market, and Wafra Inc., a global alternative investment firm, have announced an agreement forming a joint venture partnership between Chesswood subsidiary Pawnee Leasing Corporation and certain funds managed by Wafra Inc. Latham & Watkins LLP represented Wafra Inc. in the transaction with a deal team led by Houston partner James Garrett and Chicago partner Matt Hays, with assistance on corporate matters by associates John Daywalt and Justin Reinking, and assistance on finance matters by associates Daniel Spivey and Jana Zupikova.
