Latham & Watkins has advised Eclipse Ventures, a venture capital firm that backs talented entrepreneurs rebuilding the world’s physical industries, on the US$1.05 billion Series C financing of Wayve, the leading developer of Embodied AI technology for autonomous driving. The transaction, which represents the largest ever funding round for an AI startup in Europe, aims to accelerate Wayve’s mission to reimagine autonomous mobility through embodied intelligence. The round was led by Softbank Group, with participation by NVIDIA and Microsoft. Latham previously advised Eclipse Ventures as a lead investor on Wayve’s Series A and Series B funding rounds.
