Willkie advised Italian technology company Bending Spoons on its acquisition of Meetup, a renowned U.S.-based community-building platform.

Bending Spoons announced on January 24 that it completed the acquisition of Meetup and intends to leverage its powerful proprietary technologies to grow the company, which has more than 60 million registered members around the world.

The acquisition enhances Bending Spoons’ portfolio of digital technology products, which includes Evernote, Remini, and Splice, and are used by more than 100 million people each month.

Willkie previously represented Bending Spoons on its acquisition of personal productivity app Evernote.

The Willkie team was led by partner Anna Martini G. Pereira and included associate Nidhi Modani and visiting foreign law clerks Maria Clara Castro do Egito Coelho and Alejandro Ruenes.
