~~Simpson Thacher Exempt Organizations Group partner David A. Shevlin and of counsel Victoria B. Bjorklund will speak at the 30th annual “Representing and Managing Tax-Exempt Organizations” conference on April 25-26, 2013 in Arlington, Virginia. Mr. Shevlin will speak on the panel entitled “Anatomy of a For-Profit Program Related Investment (“PRI”),” which will cover topics including tax requirements, structuring the PRI, addressing charitability defaults and prototype of the PRI agreement.  Ms. Bjorklund will speak on the panel entitled “Charitable-Giving Update,” which will discuss using single-member LLCs for charitable giving, an update on DAFs and supporting organizations, qualified appraisals and charitable contributions of illiquid assets. She is also featured on the “Ask the Experts” panel, which will help answer a variety of questions from conference attendees.
