Willkie client Atlas Holdings announced on October 12 that it acquired Crown Paper Group, a leading West Coast paper and packaging company. Crown Paper Group includes Port Townsend Paper Corporation, a leading provider of high-quality recycled and virgin kraft containerboard, kraft pulp and specialty products, Crown Corrugated Company, an integrated mill and containerboard operation, and two converting facilities, known as Crown Packaging and Boxmaster. Willkie previously advised Atlas Holdings in numerous transactions, including its acquisitions of LSC Communications, the Snacks Division of TreeHouse Foods and International Wire Group Holdings. Atlas Holdings and its affiliates are a diversified group of 26 manufacturing and distribution businesses that generate approximately $14.5 billion in revenues annually. The Willkie team was led by partners Mark Cognetti, Laura Acker and Steven Seidman and included associates Brittany Klinger, David Araoz and M. Dalton Rodriguez.
