Sidley was recognized for “SEC.363 Sale of the Year (Over $100MM)” for work representing the CEO of Fashion Nova, Richard Saghian, in connection with his successful $126 million bankruptcy auction purchase of “The One,” a 105,000-square-foot “mega mansion” in Bel Air, Los Angeles. The team was led by Sam Newman and included Michael G. Burke, Genevieve G. Weiner, Jeri Leigh Miller, and Julia Philips Roth (all from Restructuring), Keith Hayden Del Prete and Jonathan Koh (both from Real Estate), and Amy P. Lally and Tatiana K. “Telecommunications Deal of the Year” was won by Sidley for its work as Committee Counsel on the acquisition of the assets of Pareteum Corporation, a cloud software communications platform company, and its affiliated debtors by Circles MVNE Pte. Ltd. and Channel Ventures Group LLC. The team was led by New York partner Michael G. Burke and included Matthew A. Clemente, Jeri Leigh Miller, and Maegan Quejada (all from Restructuring), with the assistance of James Heyworth (Securities and Shareholder Litigation) and Thomas D. Cunningham (Privacy and Cybersecurity).

Sidley’s work on the sale of Ventec Life Systems to React Health won “Distressed M&A Deal of the Year ($25MM to $50MM).” Ventec is a developer of portable multi-function respiratory systems designed to improve patient outcomes and reduce caregiver challenges in the hospital and home. The Sidley team was led by Los Angeles partner Sam Newman and included Anthony R. Grossi, Genevieve Weiner, Thomas R. Califano, Julia Philips Roth, Michael Sabino, and Ryan Fink (all from Restructuring), with assistance from partner Vijay S.
