Willkie represented Insight Partners in connection with the sale of its portfolio company Own Company (formerly known as OwnBackup), a leading provider of data protection and data management, to Salesforce.

On September 5, Salesforce announced it that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Own for approximately $1.9 billion in cash, net of the value of the approximately 10% of outstanding shares currently owned by Salesforce.

Willkie previously represented Insight Partners in its investments in Own, including its initial participation in the Series B financing round for Own and subsequent financing rounds.
