Simpson Thacher represented Vice Media in its sale of Refinery29 to Sundial Media Group, the parent company of Essence Ventures, and in forming a joint venture with Savage Ventures to relaunch Vice Media’s digital brands including Vice.com, Munchies, Motherboard, and Noisey. The transactions closed on April 18, 2024, and May 8, 2024, respectively. The financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.~~The Refinery29 business produces, distributes, and publishes multi-platform digital media and entertainment content worldwide under the Refinery29, Unbothered, Somos and 29Rooms brands.
