Matthew Block is a partner in Willkie Farr & Gallagher’s Asset Management Department, based in the New York office. He specializes in advising clients on complex GP-led and LP-led secondary transactions, private equity fund formation, and other liquidity solutions. With extensive experience in the formation and operation of various funds, including continuation, real estate, credit, and distressed funds, Matthew has been instrumental in fund raises ranging from under $100 million to over $30 billion. Recognized by the Legal 500, he also advises on GP-stakes transactions and seeding arrangements. Matthew holds a JD from New York Law School and a BSBA from Rider University.
