Simpson Thacher was ranked second among the most active international law firms practicing in Latin America for 2024 by deal volume (overall number of deals), according to Latin Lawyer’s “Deal Tracker Report: 2024 Year in Review.” The Firm was recognized for advising on 66 deals in 2024, including on Liverpool’s $6.25 billion acquisition of Nordstrom, the second-largest transaction in Latin America during the year. The Firm also ranked among the top five international law firms with the highest combined value for Latin American deals in 2024, advising on $36.7 billion worth of deals during that time.~~Partner Juan Francisco Méndez was recognized as the most active international law firm partner in Latin America in 2024. Partner Paulo Cardoso was also included among the top 10 most active partners in the region.
