Latham & Watkins has advised Doral Renewables, a leading US developer, owner, and operator of renewable energy and storage projects, on a US$400 million minority equity investment by Dutch pension APG on behalf of the largest Dutch pension fund ABP. Doral Renewables is an independent power producer specializing in partnerships with farming communities across the US to build large-scale, greenfield projects that meaningfully advance the energy transition. The investment by and partnership with APG will accelerate the development and construction of Doral Renewables’ energy pipeline. Seaspan Corporation (Seaspan), a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlas Corp. (Atlas or the Company) (NYSE: ATCO), has announced that the Company and Poseidon Acquisition Corp. (Poseidon) an entity formed by certain affiliates of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited (Fairfax), certain affiliates of the Washington Family (Washington), David Sokol, Chairman of the Board of Atlas, and Ocean Network Express Pte. Ltd., and certain of their respective affiliates, completed the previously announced transaction pursuant to which Poseidon acquired all outstanding common shares of Atlas not already owned by Fairfax, Washington and Mr. Sokol. Pursuant to the terms of the Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated October 31, 2022, by and among the Company, Poseidon and Poseidon Merger Sub, Inc. Fast Radius, Inc., a cloud manufacturing company, has announced the successful closing of its previously announced business combination with ECP Environmental Growth Opportunities Corp. (NASDAQ: ENNV), a special purpose acquisition company. The combined company has been renamed “Fast Radius, Inc.” and will be led by Fast Radius’ existing management team. Fast Radius shares of common stock and public warrants began trading on Monday, February 7, 2022, on Nasdaq under the ticker symbols “FSRD” and “FSRD.WS,” respectively. TriSummit Utilities Inc. has announced the entering into of a definitive agreement with a subsidiary of AltaGas Ltd. (TSX:ALA) for a subsidiary of TriSummit to acquire 100% of ENSTAR Natural Gas Company and the Alaska Pipeline Company, the Norstar Pipeline Company, Inc., and a 65% indirect interest in Cook Inlet Natural Gas Storage Alaska, LLC, in an all cash transaction valued at approximately C$1 billion (US$800 million), subject to customary closing adjustments.
