Invetx, Inc., a pioneer in protein-based therapeutics for animal health, has announced that it has agreed to be acquired by Dechra Pharmaceuticals Limited (Dechra), an international veterinary pharmaceuticals business, for up to US$520 million in total consideration on a cash-free and debt-free basis. The acquisition remains subject to antitrust approval and other customary closing conditions. Amgen and Teneobio announced an agreement under which Amgen will acquire Teneobio, a privately held, clinical-stage biotechnology company developing a new class of biologics called Human Heavy-Chain Antibodies. Under the terms of the agreement, Amgen will acquire all outstanding shares of Teneobio at closing in exchange for a US$900 million upfront cash payment, as well as future contingent milestone payments to Teneobio equity holders potentially worth up to an additional US$1.6 billion in cash. The acquisition aims to accelerate the global expansion of Theramex’s diverse suite of products across existing and adjacent therapeutic areas. Theramex has subsequently developed into one of the largest specialty pharma platforms dedicated to women and their health.
