Kirkland & Ellis advised Pritzker Private Capital (“PPC”), a leader in family direct investing, on its acquisition of Bardstown Bourbon Company, an innovative distiller, producer and bottler of premium Kentucky bourbon and rye whiskey brands. PPC is investing alongside members of the Bardstown Bourbon management team and current investors. Mark Erwin, President and CEO, and Bardstown Bourbon’s current management will continue to lead the business. Financial terms were not disclosed. Kirkland & Ellis advised Vesey Street Capital Partners (VSCP), a private equity firm specializing in buyouts of lower middle-market healthcare services businesses, on the full sale of its portfolio company QualityMetric (QM). QM works with the world's leading healthcare and life sciences companies to measure and better understand outcomes through the creation, administration and review of general and patient-specific health surveys. VSCP acquired QM in August 2020 and quickly oversaw the full and complete separation of QM from a larger organization, recruited and built a top management team led by its Chief Executive Officer Gus Gardner and developed a 5-pillar strategic plan for growth. The sale was completed on August 18, 2023. Kirkland & Ellis is advising Olympus Partners portfolio company MEI Rigging & Crating LLC on the acquisition of Dallas-based Able Machinery Movers. The transaction was announced January 9, 2024. MEI provides rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, mechanical installation, industrial storage, crating and export packing services while Able manufactures turnkey machinery moving and rigging services. Olympus announced the acquisition of MEI in July 2023.
